On this day in 2014, John Sutton became the most capped Rabbitohs player of all time making his 212th appearance for the Rabbitohs.

His feat overtook Souths legend Bob McCarthy and ticked over in the Rabbitohs round five match against St George Illawarra Dragons. The game was won by the Rabbitohs in a 26-6 victory in front of a crowd of 24,368 at the SCG. 

Since then, the one-Club man has clocked up another 51 matches totalling a massive 263 games for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
