Judiciary Update - George Burgess, Hymel Hunt, Braidon Burns

Rabbitohs players George Burgess, Hymel Hunt and Braidon Burns have been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee with charges arising from yesterday’s game against the Newcastle Knights.

George Burgess has been charged with a grade two striking charge. The base penalty for the charge is 300 points. 

If Burgess takes the early guilty plea he will attract 270 points which means he will miss two matches. 

If Burgess fights the charge and loses, he will attract 360 points and miss three matches. If he fights the charge and wins he will miss no games. 

Hymel Hunt has been charged with a grade two reckless high tackle charge. The base penalty for the charge is 400 points.

If Hunt takes the early guilty plea he will attract 450 points and will miss four matches. 

If Hunt fights the charge and loses, he will attract 600 points and miss six matches. If he fights the charge and wins he will miss no matches. 

Braidon Burns has been charged with a grade one shoulder charge. The base penalty for the charge is 200 points. 

If Burns takes the early guilty plea he will attract 150 points which means he will miss one match. 

If Burns fights the charge and loses, he will attract 200 points and miss two matches. If he fights the charge and wins he will be free to play against the Roosters on Thursday night.
