Dave Tyrrell believes an important task going into round one is for the team to stick to the game plan with aspirations of gaining the first two points of the season through a win.
“I think it’s important that us, as a team, stick to our job and play our plan, I’m sure two points at the end of the day is going to be the better option,” Tyrrell said.
With the start of the season being described as a blank page for the Club, Souths are ready to write a new story in 2017.
“It’s sort of a like a blank page this year so really looking forward to putting my best foot forward and for the team and we’ll do well this weekend.
“We’ve got a really good group as long as everyone on the day does their job and plays their role we should do well.”
Tyrrell compliments the Rabbitohs staff expertise when asked about Adam Reynolds health after his teammate was diagnosed with appendicitis.
“We’ve got a lot of smart people here at Souths, sports scientists and physios that will get him fit and healthy and ready to go so I’m sure Reyno (Adam Reynolds) will be back to his best when it comes.”
