It's A Good Learning Curve: Goodwin

Rabbitohs Auckland Nines captain Bryson Goodwin says he is honoured to lead the boys out at Eden Park on the weekend describing the tournament as not only fun but also a good learning curve for the boys.

“It’s good fun but it’s also a good learning curve for a lot of the boys,” said Goodwin.

“After training for so long it’s good to get out on the park and have a run around and for some of the young boys it’s a good chance for them to actually have a game against some NRL opposition as well.”

Stepping up for the first time to captain the Nines side, Goodwin believes the team is in a good position going into the event and is excited to lead the boys around with aspirations to bring home the trophy.

“It feels really good,” Goodwin said on his captaincy.

“I was really happy when Madge (Michael Maguire) asked me to be captain for the squad for the Nines, I was really honoured so I am looking forward to leading the boys around, having a good time and trying to win it out here.

“We are feeling really good. We are really looking forward to having a run of footy.”
