As the 2016 preseason training comes to a close, Rabbitohs Media caught up with Dave Tyrrell to get an insight on how the team sits moving into next year.

Like his teammates, Tyrrell describes the high intensity of preseason training but believes it is beneficial to the next step of training that will kick off in the New Year.

“It’s been pretty intense, every year we get out there and get into each other, it’s pretty tough but it’s a good platform for the year to come,” said Tyrrell.

Despite the increased competition for positions within the squad, Tyrrell explains that the group thrive on the challenge that he ultimately believes improves the team as a whole.

“There’s a lot of new blokes and I think everyone is still learning about each other and creating camaraderie and plenty of new faces does create new competition and we use that to thrive on our game and improve us as a group.”
