Today marks the 52nd birthday of veteran South Sydney winger, Ross Harrington! To celebrate - we've dug into the archives to pull out this moment in 1989 where Harrington scored against the Bulldogs to seal an important win at Belmore Oval for the Rabbitohs who would go on to be named minor premiers.

With Phil Blake operating in five-eighth for the clash, the Rabbitohs would produce a quick shift of the ball to the left wing courtesy of a Blake cut-out pass to Steve Mavin. Mavin would then feed Harrington to crash over the line and push the scoreline out of reach of the Bulldogs.

The Rabbitohs would claim the day at Belmore 10-2 through tries to Wayne Chisholm, Ross Harrington and a goal to Bronko Djura.
