Voting for 2017’s Indigenous All Stars closes today at 3pm with five Rabbitohs players up for nomination.

The NRL have stated that Greg Inglis is likely to take the fullback or centres position as the voting heats up with only a few hours left.

The Rabbitohs are also represented through Cody Walker, Dane Nielsen, Kyle Turner and Alex Johnston.

The Indigenous All Stars v World All Stars match will take place for the first time in Newcastle on Friday 10th February 2017.

"I'm really excited about the game being played in Newcastle next year," said Indigenous All Stars coach Laruie Daley.

"The Hunter region is a heartland for rugby league and you can tell the locals love their footy through their unwavering support of the Knights.

"It'll be a wonderful opportunity to promote the game and it's a chance for the players to get in touch with their Indigenous roots with the local community."

Fans are asked to vote for the short list of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players to form the team.

The team will be announced in December.
