The South Sydney Rabbitohs are mourning the passing of former player Adam O’Neill who passed away today (Friday) following a short battle with cancer, aged 52.

A fast and tenacious winger, Mr O’Neill played 80 grade games, including 41 first grade games in which he scored 15 tries, for the Rabbitohs between 1987 and 1990.

Adam was the son of Australian cricketing great Norm O’Neill and was also former Rabbitohs’ player Les Davidson’s brother-in-law.

On behalf of everyone connected with the Rabbitohs, we offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Adam O’Neill.

Mr O'Neill's funeral will be held this Friday 11 November at 2pm at Greenway Memorial Gardens, 460 Avoca Drive, Green Point.

It is requested that people wear a green tie or something green.
