Rabbitohs debutant, Hymel Hunt, is pleased to finish off the season in the Red and Green jersey after an injury saw the centre sidelined for half the season.

Hunt returned from a pectoral injury in Round 19, two weeks earlier than predicted, and thanks his quick recovery to the Rabbitohs medical team along with the continued support shown from his family, friends and fans.

“Lucky we’ve got a great medical staff team,” said Hunt.

“I had a lot of support from outside; our fans especially my close family and friends,

“For me that’s how I’ve overcome it, with all their support pushing me along and just trying to get me back”

Although Hunt’s injury overshadowed his season, he is proud of the effort put in by his team mates and is happy to be part of the Club.

“I’m proud of the boys, even though we didn’t make the finals this year.

“There’s no better feeling than playing for a Club like South Sydney.

“Playing 13 games for the Red and Green makes me so happy.

Hunt will travel to Bali and Samoa in the break before he heads back to training for preseason.
