Inglis Has His Heart In The Game: Meninga

Kangaroos Head Coach, Mal Meninga, spoke to Rabbitohs Media about his decision to name Greg Inglis as Captain of the Prime Minister’s XIII side ahead of the annual match against Papua New Guinea on Saturday 24th September.

“He’s passionate about the game of Rugby League,” said Meninga.

“He thinks it’s a great honour to put on the Green and Gold jersey.”

Praised for his passion for the game and the Rabbitohs, Meninga also compliments Inglis on his qualities across all levels of the sport and believes his love for the game will only add to the honour of wearing the Green and Gold jersey.

“I think we are all proud of the person Greg has grown into. He has always been a person of great virtue. He’s got his heart in the game, he has heart in the Rabbitohs and everything he does, he does with a passion.

“I know that the effort he will put in next Saturday week will be fantastic, he just loves the game and I think the more of those type of people we have in the game the better the games going to be.

“To have someone of Greg’s calibre Captain this footy team and be involved in this footy team, that’s credibility and integrity to what we are doing from an International point of view.”
