Jeremy Monahan returns to bring you Maguire’s Insights, brought to you by Hostplus, for the final time in 2016 to provide you with the inside look at Friday night’s clash with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.

Maguire says their big focus this week is going out there and playing for each other and keeping up the momentum seen in the recent weeks’ successes.

“A great challenge in front of us, the Bulldogs have obviously been up there pretty well all season and they’ve got a high quality team,” said Maguire.

“For us, it’s about taking all quality things we’ve been doing in the last 3-4 weeks and go out and enjoy our footy and play a game that we know we are capable of playing.”

This Friday, the teams will compete for the Special Olympics Cup that signifies an important partnership between the Rabbitohs, Bulldogs and Special Olympics Australia in providing a platform for thousands of Australians with an intellectual disability to reach their personal best both on and off the sporting field.

“We celebrate the Special Olympics quite well here.

“A couple of days ago we had all the young kids running around and they were having a bit of fun.

“They are great people, they really get behind the Rabbitohs and I think it’s a very special thing that we can be a part of.

“It’s a game for us to really go out and show ourselves and perform the way we can and to build on what we’ve been doing and take that into the offseason and then into the preseason.”
