The Greatest Monday Night Football Moment…Ever?

Monday Night Football comes to an end tonight as the Eels and the Dragons face off at Pirtek Stadium and in its place we're left with plenty of memories of brutal and dramatic clashes.

None, in our opinion, come close to the drama and excitement of our Round 19, 2012, comeback against the Roosters which saw itself cemented in Rabbitohs folklore under the iconic banner of Warren Smith screaming; "You can take me now I have seen it all!".

With under a minute of play remaining in the match your Rabbitohs needed a try to snatch victory. Dave Taylor carted the ball off from the kick-off but immediately threw it out to Chris McQueen who got the Rabbitohs rolling towards the line to do the seemingly impossible.

Nathan Merritt ran in hot pursuit and with Roosters closing in from everywhere. His support paid off, taking the ball even closer to the line before giving it back to Issac Luke who looked to make the line.

The movement wasnt over yet. The Roosters nabbed Luke just shy of the try-line, but the Kiwi International was able to get the ball back to Adam Reynolds who collected it off the turf to cross for a try that will live long in the memory of Rabbitohs fans.

"It was an amazing finish to a game and it's one of those finishes to a game that you live for. As a commentator you want the ball metaphorically," reflected Warren Smith, Fox Sports commentator for this fixture.

"I was very lucky to be there and call what was undoubtedly a great Rabbitohs moment,"
