Senior Rabbitoh John Sutton believes our strong preparation ahead of this Sunday's clash with the Newcastle Knights will aid us in performing well despite the shorter turnaround for the Rabbitohs.

Sutton feels that the hard work done behind the scenes at the Simply Energy High Performance Centre in addressing ball security and defence has played a big part in our current form and the second-rower has faith we'll continue to push out good performances off the back of this work.

"A lot of games that we've lost is due to our completion rates. We just didn't give ourselves a chance in the games," admits Sutton.

"The last couple of weeks have been really good. We've been playing some good football.

"We've got Newcastle this week and they'll be tough up there at home. We just have to prepare well and come out with another good performance.

"I'm just happy we're playing some good football now. I'm looking forward to finishing this season off strong."
