We're Building A Platform: Maguire

After registering a strong performance last week in Auckland, Head Coach Michael Maguire believes his team is building a platform for future successes.

With an improved morale permeating the Simply Energy High Performance Centre at Redfern Oval and Maguire's men finding themselves nearing full strength as a playing squad there is a confidence from the Head Coach about where we are heading as a Club.

"I think the boys are just really enjoying playing together," stated Maguire.

"We've obviously had some periods throughout the season where our performances would've liked to have been on a different path,

"Obviously now we get to leave a really good platform for what's ahead of us and the Club."

Monday night's clash at ANZ Stadium marks the last home game for the Rabbitohs and Maguire took the opportunity to outline his gratitude to the strong Member base that stuck with them this season.

"It's been one of those years where we've really enjoyed the real staunch supporters who come out and support us," said Maguire.

"We've had some tough games over the year but I still see them coming out,

"Obviously we'd love to get that support on Monday night and show them exactly what we're about."

It will be the crowd support that helps favour the Rabbitohs on Monday as Maguire is aware that his team face a strong challenge on Monday night in the form of the Cronulla Sharks.

"We're playing a strong team and they've got some strong characters in their team," said Maguire.

"We know they've got a lot of power through the middle and a lot of speed on the edges,

"So we need to be well and truly on our game."
