Head Coach Michael Maguire is looking forward to the challenge ahead when the Rabbitohs take on the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park on Saturday.

Despite the recent results, Maguire says the hunger is there and the team have the drive to get to where they want to go.

“Obviously these sorts of periods test your character and test everyone involved but for us we’ve got the drive of where we want to go and we’ve got to make sure we persist with that and I’m sure all those sorts of things will sort themselves out.” said Maguire.

Maguire admits this weekend’s encounter will be a challenge but a win for Souths would be a positive reflection on the efforts displayed by the players.

“I think it [a win] would be a reflection obviously on the hard work that the boys are putting in,

“They’re doing all the little things right around training and we’ve just got to make sure we get it between the 80 minutes.”
