The Rabbitohs are calling on support for the family of a junior staff member following the passing of Despina Papageorgiou.
Despina completed an internship with the Rabbitohs 2015, working with the Corporate Hospitality and Events teams.
In that same year, the Papageorgiou family lost their mother. Tragically, Despina, the eldest of six children, has also passed away. Following treatment for cancer, Despina passed away overseas which has seen the medical costs and the costs of bringing her home for a funeral reach astronomical levels. The family is still reeling from the loss of their mother and have been affected financially because of this.
