Rabbitohs Teams for Round 17 Against Cowboys

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their teams for round 17 of the 2016 NRL Premiership against the North Queensland Cowboys with the NRL fixture to be played at Barlow Park in Cairns this Sunday 3 July at 4pm.

Halfback Adam Reynolds will return to the side following an injury sustained in the second State of Origin game last week.

Rabbitohs veteran John Sutton will play his 250th NRL game for the Club this Sunday afternoon. He becomes the first player in the Club’s history to achieve this milestone.

Sutton made his first grade debut against the Brisbane Broncos in round 17 of the 2004 season, and will now make his 250th appearance almost 12 years to the day since playing in that first match.

This is the fourth consecutive year the Rabbitohs have taken a home game to Barlow Park in Cairns. With the support of Tourism and Events Queensland and Cairns Regional Council, a bumper crowd is expected for the clash, and the Rabbitohs encourage Members and fans to pre-purchase tickets to this match by visiting www.ticketek.com.au/rabbitohs or by calling 132 849.

Tickets in the general admission area are still available for purchase so get in quick to secure the best spots for the game.

With State of Origin stars Greg Inglis, Adam Reynolds, Johnathan Thurston, Matt Scott and James Tamou expected to line up in Cairns, this is truly an unmissable match up for the Rugby League faithful in far north Queensland.

Gates open at Barlow Park at 1:40pm on Sunday, with the curtain raiser match between Cairns Connection and Cairns Indigenous All Stars kicking off at 1:45pm, and the main game scheduled to commence at 4pm.
