Rabbitohs forward, Kyle Turner, says that some minor adjustments will go a long way to improving his side’s game this Friday night against the Parramatta Eels.
The men in Red and Green return to their home ground of ANZ Stadium on Friday night as they look to bounce back from last week’s loss to the Tigers.
“We’ve just got to get the fundamentals right I think,” said Turner.
“The effort is definitely there, but we just need to get better defensively. I think we’re letting in twenty-something points a game and that’s just not acceptable at this level.
“It’s only small things we need to change, and the boys are still confident. We’ve got the effort there, it’s just being smart about it.
“There’s a long way in the season to go.”
On Parramatta, Turner is looking forward to the challenge, after having gotten the points against the Eels in Round 10 of the competition, courtesy of a final-minute, touch-line conversion from Adam Reynolds.
“They’re a tough side,” said Turner.
“We got them in the last minute I think – like on the bell – so I think we’re definitely looking forward to a good game.”
