Inglis Revving Up for Origin II

Rabbitohs skipper, Greg Inglis, admits that there’s no guarantee of having a home advantage over New South Wales in the Origin arena as his side prepare to play at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.

Inglis’ Maroons will be looking to wrap up the 2016 Series early next Wednesday, after tasting victory over the Blues in a low-scoring affair at ANZ Stadium by 6-4.

“I think it’s going to be another great experience,” said Inglis.

“Wearing the Maroon jersey (at a) packed out stadium at Suncorp, Game II – it’s just a good feeling coming up with one win in the Series.

“Coming up here for Game II, it’s not going to be to our favour – it is an Origin match and it is going to be quite tough to get the win.”

Queensland’s mammoth Game I defensive effort was a talking point following the opening game of the Series, and Inglis and his men will be looking to build on that in Game II.

“That’s what it’s all about,” said Inglis.

“It’s all about defensive plays and doing everything that you can when you’ve got the ball.”

The Maroon will face off against club teammate, Adam Reynolds in the upcoming clash, with the Souths Junior set to steer New South Wales around the park for the second time in his career at halfback.
