Creating Opportunities

Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, knows that he has plenty to work with ahead of this Friday’s Round 14 clash against the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium.

The Rabbitohs mentor has been pleased with large portions of his side’s recent performances, that have included wins over the Parramatta Eels, the St George Illawarra Dragons, and a one-point loss to the Titans on Sunday.

“We’re just really looking to improve on the things that we’ve captured I suppose over the last few weeks,” said Maguire.

“Against Parramatta and St George (Illawarra) we played some good football.

“Against the Titans I thought there were some great patches, but I’ve said it many times to my players; if we keep putting the hard work and the effort in – we’ll create the opportunities moving forward.

“It’s obviously an important game – like all games – on Friday.”

An extra boost for the Rabbitohs is halfback Adam Reynolds, who Maguire says has grown in confidence since making his New South Wales State of Origin debut last Wednesday.

“He’s in a great frame of mind,” said Maguire.

“He got a lot out of that – he’s going to grow as a player and you can just sort of see him around the place now, that extra bit of confidence which adds to us as a team which is great for him.

“He’s going to grow.”
