Rabbitohs forward, Kyle Turner, is looking forward to Friday’s clash against the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium for Round 14 of the NRL.
While the rivalry between the Rabbitohs and Wests Tigers may only stretch back to the early 2000s, competition has nonetheless been fierce, with the two teams engaging in some enthralling clashes during that time, magic moments aplenty in the process.
Turner and his men know what to expect and are preparing accordingly.
“It’s always a fiery clash,” said Turner.
“If you’re not turned on for the game you’re going to pay for it, so we really have to be on our game for it.
“Last game, they really turned it up for us. We need to come out and perform against them – you can’t take it easy on any team in the NRL.”
Both teams come into this week’s clash coming off Round 13 losses – the Rabbitohs to the Titans by one point in Perth, while the Tigers went down to the Roosters in Sydney.
But Turner says he and his men have shaken off the loss and are focusing on the positives from that performance as well as the side’s recent run of good form.
“More or less, we have to focus on how well we can play,” said Turner.
“We know what we’re capable of – it’s just showing it on the park
