Rabbitohs fullback, Cody Walker, couldn’t be happier to have his future sorted as he and his men head into Round 14 on Friday against the Tigers.
The Rabbitohs last week agreed to terms on a contract extension for Walker until at least the end of the 2018 season.
“I love the place – I love the boys and I’m pretty happy with the next two years,” said Walker.
“Family was a pretty big factor. My ‘Mrs’ grew up here, two streets up the road so it was a pretty easy decision to make.”
Walker, 26, made his first grade debut for the Rabbitohs against the Roosters in Round1 this year, and has recently found his place in the side playing at fullback.
But while Rabbitohs Members and supporters have been treated to some exhilarating moments from the livewire, – including two memorable solo tries – Walker admits that he still has much to learn.
“Obviously I got caught out there with a forty-twenty on the weekend,” said Walker of last Sunday’s game against the Titans.
“That’s a bit of the positional stuff I’ve got to learn.”
