Former Rabbitoh and NSW legend, Matt King, couldn’t be prouder that Adam Reynolds has been given the call-up to play for the Blues in next Wednesday’s 2016 State of Origin opener at ANZ Stadium.

Reynolds will likely partner Sharks playmaker James Maloney in the NSW halves in Origin Game I against Greg Inglis’ Queensland Maroons outfit in what will be the Souths Junior’s first Origin appearance.

It’s no secret that King – a veteran of nine Origin appearances – is as passionate a New South Welshman as they come, and he has also made no secret of his pride in Reynolds’ selection. But not only does he approve, King believes that the Rabbitohs sharp-shooter is capable of making the position his own.

“If he kicks well, that’s him doing his job – if he makes all his tackles, that’s him doing his job,” said King.
