Adam Reynolds is finally going to play for New South Wales in State of Origin! What an achievement for Adam! We have had some pretty amazing players line up in Origin and at international level, but our half back, playing for the Blues? That’s pretty special!

Adam has been a pivotal player for us since he came into the top grade. It didn’t take long for Adam to settle into his role either. In his rookie year he didn’t only take out rookie of the year, but also took out our Members Choice Award. He burst onto the scene and brought along with him his golden boot. His kicking has gotten even better over the years and so too the rest of his game.

He is the man who for my money, inspired one of the greatest pieces of Rugby League commentary ever …”Reynolds, Reynolds! You can take me now I have seen it all!” He was the man who scored THAT try against the Roosters in the last minute, and kicked the goal to win the game.

He has played for City, the PMs XIII, the NRL and World All Stars teams, he was player of the tournament in the 2015 Auckland 9s and was a key part of our World Club Challenge win.

That Blue jersey however evaded him… until now.

It is going to be a massive task to beat this formidable QLD team. He is going up against teammate, Greg Inglis and the likes of Johnathan Thurston, Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk. If anyone is up to it though, it’s Adam.

He knows what it means to never give in, he knows how to play 80 minutes, he knows that a game can be won at the death and he knows that every dog has their day. If his forwards can get the ball to him in good field-position, he will play some of his best footy.

So, Adam Reynolds, go and get them mate! Take this time and enjoy every minute. I believe in you, and there are thousands more Rabbitohs out there who also believe in you. Even if they follow QLD, they will be willing you on.

Up the Mighty Rabbitohs!
