Rabbitohs forward, Nathan Brown, will lead from the front this Friday night against the Parramatta Eels when he dons the number 10 jersey to play prop.
An energetic footballer on both sides of the ball, Brown gets his shot in Michael Maguire’s starting line-up this week, partnering English international Thomas Burgess in the front row, just one week after making his own representative debut for City against Country.
Brown joined four-try-hero and fellow Rabbitoh Aaron Gray in City camp last week, making 82 metres with the ball in hand and 26 tackles in what he described as a confidence booster.
“That was a great experience,” enthused Brown.
“Obviously my first rep jersey so I took a lot out of that week.
“It’s a confidence booster and a bit of extra experience – my full focus now is on Friday night.”
Brown, who made his debut for the Rabbitohs in 2015, also spoke about areas which he and his teammates have been working on this week as they look to come away with the two competition points this Friday night.
“Everyone’s turning up each week,” said Brown.
“We’ve just got to focus on all the areas such as our discipline and errors in the game.
