Rabbitohs skipper, Greg Inglis, is proud to have his teammates in Red and Green representing the Club during this week’s rep round.
A total of six Rabbitohs players will take part in the Rep Round, in the form of; Inglis (Australia), Kirisome Auva’a (Samoa), Michael Oldfield (Tonga), Aaron Gray, Nathan Brown (City), and Siosifa Talakai (Junior Kiwis).
In addition, North Sydney Bears players, Sitiveni Moceidreke and Samisoni Langi have also been selected for Fiji and Tonga respectively.
With opportunities aplenty for those selected, as well as national and city pride well and truly on the line, expect all Rabbitohs to put their best foot forward. Skipper, Inglis, takes the cake for sheer weight of experience with 34 Tests behind him, while for the remaining Rabbitohs, the representative arena lays all before them.
“I’m extremely proud,” said Inglis of his fellow Rabbitohs.
“For (those) boys to be selected, they’re obviously doing something right.
“Even though we’re not getting the results in club land, it’s just great to see the boys playing this weekend in rep round.
“I couldn’t be happier for the boys and for them to go and represent their teams.
For Inglis, this Friday’s ANZAC Test represents the perfect opportunity for the Kangaroos to claw back, having gone down to the New Zealanders in recent ourings.
“We lost the last three and it does hurt,” said Inglis.
“They’re going to come (with) the same aggressive mindset, without a doubt.
“We just have to prepare the best we can and put our best foot forward.”
