Rabbitohs back-rower, Chris Grevsmuhl, is looking forward to his team showing their true character when they head up to Townsville to take on the North Queensland Cowboys on Friday night.
Coming off the back of a loss against the Sydney Roosters, Grevsmuhl says that his side will make adjustments to their game ahead of Friday night’s clash.
“We’ve just got to string a few things together,” said Grevsmuhl.
“We just need to step up through the middle and own that part of the field.”
Grevsmuhl – who hails from Townsville – has no doubt that the North Queenslanders will present the Rabbitohs with a challenge, knows that his side is up to it.
“They’ve got one of the best forward packs in the competition,” said Grevsmuhl.
“We’ve got to roll up the middle – they’re good, but we’ve got a good team (too).”
According to Grevsmuhl, team cohesion will play a significant role in ensuring that his side continually improves and creates the momentum needed by any team in the NRL competition.
“We’re going out there to do the best that we can as a team and for each other,” said Grevsmuhl.
“We just need to stand up and deliver this weekend, and that’s what we plan to do.”
Grevsmuhl made 55 metres with the ball in hand and completed 24 tackles in Round 6 against the Roosters.
