Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, has given his insights into this week’s Round 7 clash against the North Queensland Cowboys this Friday night in Townsville.

Preparations for the clash against the defending-Premiers is well underway, with Maguire emphasising the focus on getting the little things right following last week’s loss to the Roosters.

“We’ve all looked at each other and made sure we’ve put a lot into our preparation,” said Maguire.

“It’s about making sure we do our jobs for each other and get away and go up north and perform the way we know we can.”

Boasting the likes of effective Origin forwards such as James Tamou and Matt Scott up-front, the Cowboys backs have made the most of the space procured by their forwards in recent weeks to score some solid victories.

“They’ve got some well-known front rowers and a fair pack,” said Maguire.

“It’s a good opportunity for us to go out and perform and work hard for each other and go up against a strong pack.”

Maguire also made mention of The Burrow, who are already on their way up to Townsville in preparation for the match – the Head Coach encouraging as many proud Rabbitohs in Townsville to head to the game to throw their support behind the boys on Friday.

“I hope the Burrow are having a good time on their road trip,” smiled Maguire.

“It’s about us making sure we perform and give them the things they’re after. They really enjoy their footy along with all our Members and our supporters.”
