Rabbitohs skipper, Greg Inglis, fronted the Rugby League media this morning at the Club’s recovery session at Maroubra Beach following last night’s clash against the Sydney Roosters.

Despite claiming the Ron Coote Cup on aggregate, the Rabbitohs went down to the Roosters in the Round 6 clash in a performance that Inglis said wasn’t a reflection of his team’s capabilities.

“It just wasn’t us – that’s the bottom line,” said Inglis of his side’s loss

“It wasn’t our thing, it wasn’t our (defence) and it wasn’t our attack. We’ll definitely have a look at that during the week – it’s something that we need to improve quickly.

“We’ll learn a lot from that game and we’ll just move forward to take it up north.”

The Rabbitohs will now play the North Queensland Cowboys next Friday night in Townsville.
