Let’s not dwell on the Good Friday game. Let’s turn our focus to Manly tonight at Brookvale Oval.

So, how are we shaping up? Well, the Burgess brothers are back together, with Sam set to return from a week out with injury, while Tom will play his first game of the season.

I am sure Sam will be excited to get back on the field and will be taking every opportunity that comes his way in his 100th NRL game. Luke Keary also plays his 50th – what an achievement for both of them!

Do you know what though? While the Burgess boys are a big part of our team, there are other players who have been impressing defensively and tallying up the tackling stats for us in recent weeks. Kyle Turner, Jason Clark, Paul Carter and Cameron McInnes for example have all been pulling their weight. These boys have been our tackling machines!

I’m sure this game will provide plenty for all those in attendance as well as those cheering on at home, as the Souths - Sea Eagles rivalry always does. There’s so much to look forward to that I just can’t wait to cheer on the boys!

So I think we learnt a lot from last week’s game and will take it into tonight. We have seen the potential our team has during the opening rounds of the season – it’s about getting even better now and building on that!

Come rain, hail or shine, this game is important for us and I know our men in Red and Green are ready to roll!

Let’s bring it, Rabbitohs Members!
