Looking to Improve – Grevsmuhl

Rabbitohs forward, Chris Grevsmuhl, says that improvement is the focus for this week’s match against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval.

South Sydney last week came up short on Good Friday against the Bulldogs, but have sounded out this week’s upcoming Round 5 match as the stage to get their game-plan right.

“The boys know how they played on the weekend,” said Grevsmuhl of last week’s game.

“We’ll improve throughout the week. As a team, we’re just going out to rectify what happened on the weekend and play our best football.”

Following their win over the Roosters this weekend, the Sea Eagles could be without the likes of Jamie Buhrer and playmaker, Daly Cherry-Evans, who sustained an ankle sprain.

But whether the pair do suit up for the Sea Eagles on Thursday night or not, Grevsmuhl said it will count for little given Manly’s depth.

“Not much,” said Grevsmuhl when asked what the loss of Cherry-Evans will mean for Souths’ game.

“They’ve got blokes that can fill in for him – he’s a good player, but they’ll have young blokes that can fill the spot for him easy.”
