Glory Glory: My Life John Sattler
A gentleman off the field and a brute on it, John Sattler was one of the most feared players of his era. He was equally renowned for his toughness and courage: famously, he played 77 minutes in the 1970 Grand Final with a shattered jaw, leading the Rabbitohs to victory over Manly. Here for the first time he tells his own story in his own words and in his style: honest, uncompromising and direct. It's the story of a boy from the bush who led the Pride of the League back to its rightful place at the top of the Sydney premiership. Along the way, Sattler toured with the Kangaroos, played in four winning Grand Finals and survived a near-fatal car crash. While he later built a new life for himself as a proud Queensland, Sattler will always remain a South Sydney legend and an icon of the game.
Michael Maguire: A Year to Remember
A Year to Remember is Maguire's game by game account of the incredible 2014 season. His unique perspective will have fans reliving each hard yard, each tackle and each play in an account like no other. Rarely have followers of the game had such an opportunity to see every match – and the season as a whole – called from the coach's box. Surprising, fascinating and compelling, Maguire's inside look at the Rabbitohs' road to victory clearly demonstrates what it takes to win a premiership, and just how special an achievement it is for any team.
Yes follows the story of the Rabbitohs since the historic day in 2006 when an overwhelming number of Members voted Yes for privatization and a new vision forward.
With photography by Christian Darque, words by Mark Courtney and postscript by Russell Crowe, follow the journey of your Rabbitohs through stories of Faith, Glory, Honour, Joy, Love, Pride and Sacrifice with a range of behind the scenes and never before seen images making up this 264 page hardcover book.
