Some 200 proud Rabbitohs Members were on hand at Pizzey Park on the Gold Coast this morning (Friday) for a Member Exclusive Open Training session ahead of tomorrow’s trial match against the Gold Coast Titans.
With a strong representation of Rabbitohs Members living in Queensland, locals – as well as visitors from as far afield as the NSW North Coast – took advantage of the opportunity to get up close and personal with their men in Red and Green before their final trial match of 2016.
Members were treated to watching the side’s training session before having the opportunity to meet and greet their heroes, get autographs on their free team posters, and pose for photos with their favourite players.
Rabbitohs Gold Member, Greg Pearce, was on hand for the training session, with the proud Rabbitoh hailing the exclusive opportunity.
“Being a Red and Green Rabbitohs Member, I love the exclusivity of seeing the team in an open training session and being able to get close to the team,” said Greg.
“It's an honour to have the Rabbitohs here and it shows how much the Club cares about their Members to have the squad here and an open training session dedicated to us.”
The Rabbitohs’ Merchandise van was also there for the day, having made the 844km journey to the Gold Coast, just so people can stock up on their Red and Green for 2016!
