The Rabbitohs v Dragons rivalry has raged since 1921 in what has become one of the game’s traditional clashes. Having played in some of the game’s most iconic encounters – including the 1965 Grand Final and previous Charity Shields – this is your chance to be a part of the story moving forward!
With a combination of experience and new faces, the Rabbitohs will field an enthusiastic outfit against the Dragons in the main game that will include the likes of John Sutton, Damien Cook and Cody Walker. They will come up against a side that boasts the likes of Benji Marshall, Jack De Belin and Jason Nightingale. But don’t forget to arrive early to check out the future of the Club in the Under 20s match set for kick-off at 3:15pm!
This clash is as much about charity as it is about the footy, so get on out to the game, purchase your copy of the Charity Shield News at the price of a gold coin and help make a difference! Also, forming a Guard of Honour for Rabbitohs Charity, Souths Cares, will be young students from Auburn Diversity Services who are new migrants and refugees from Burma. The ‘Karen people’ of Burma are an ethnic minority group who have been forced out of their traditional lands and into refugee camps along the Burma/Thailand border.
