Rabbitohs forward, George Burgess, and his teammates have been busy this pre-season, but not just with preparations for their 2016 NRL campaign!

As part of a commitment to connect with the Club’s Members, supporters and fans, Michael Maguire’s men have been doing their bit by visiting charities and jails, and in the case of Burgess, personally calling Members to thank them for Standing Above the Rest in 2016.

Burgess was joined by teammates, Kyle Turner, Luke Keary and Adam Reynolds  - the quartet taking time out to speak to Members over the phone, personally thanking them and wishing them the best for the upcoming year.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Head Coach Maguire said that it’s all about giving back to the community.

“It’s part of the Souths culture of who we are – we’re a very community-oriented club.”
