Rabbitohs hooker, Cameron McInnes, spoke to during the week, revealing that the pre-season grind at Redfern so far has been fun.

With a combination of positive attitude and healthy competition for spots, the Souths Junior has enjoyed turning up to training each day as the Club now moves into Week 7 of their 2016 preparations.

“It’s been really fun,” said McInnes.

“Turning up to training every day, the feeling around the squad is really good and we’re all competing hard and pushing each other and having fun everyday doing what we love.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time back and just can’t wait for the season.”

For McInnes himself, the opportunity to train alongside other hooking contenders such as Damien Cook and Paul Carter, has only enhanced his preparation owing to the collaborative nature of pre-season – something that he believes both he and the team will benefit from.

“We’ve got some quality players there and competition for spots which is what you need to become a better player,” said McInnes.

“We get on well and we’re always tipping each other up on things we can do and things we can do better.”

McInnes will be spending Christmas this year with his parents and has also sent a Christmas message to our Members and supporters. Please press play on the video player to see Cameron’s message and the full interview.
