Get a whole new perspective on Rabbitohs training! The Rabbitohs Media team got their hands on a drone to bring you this unique view of Redfern Oval and the team.

Now into their fifth week of pre-season training, the Rabbitohs have continued to test themselves despite rising temperatures in Sydney as they prepare for the Club's assault on the 2016 Premiership.

Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire spoke about the importance of the pre-season period to

“Pre-season is an opportunity for growth in players in all aspects – strength, fitness, mental attitude, skill levels – all the many different characteristics that make up a player,” said Maguire.

“The pre-season allows you to work on those individual needs and requirements that you’re going to need during a season but also in life.

“The way you perform in the pre-season tends to play its part later on, so setting the platform early for not only the team, but for the individual, is important at this time of year.”

The men in red and green will get their 2016 campaign underway at Allianz Stadium in Round 1 when the game’s oldest and fiercest rivalry re-ignites on Sunday March 6 at 4pm at Allianz Stadium, with the Rabbitohs taking on the Roosters in the first leg of the Ron Coote Cup – the deciding match set to be played at home in Round 6 at ANZ Stadium.
