Rabbitohs Assistant Coach, Kurt Wrigley, gives Members an insight into the Club’s return to the training paddock when he speaks to Rabbitohs.com.au.
Wrigley – like Head Coach Michael Maguire – believes that pre-season is a hugely important part of a team and individual’s development, particularly when it comes to the Club’s young brigade.
“It’s massive, particularly for younger players,” said Wrigley of pre-season.
“They get massive gains in this period, pre and post-Christmas – not only their skills but just their body size and being able to handle the rigours of week in and week out footy.
“It’s just a great platform for them to develop their bodies in particular – it’s really getting their minds and bodies attuned to what’s coming.”
