New Rabbitohs recruit, Michael Oldfield, had his first chat to during his first week of training, with the outside back enjoying what he has described as a smooth transition to the Club.

“It’s been an easy transition so far,” said Oldfield.

“I was pretty nervous coming back into a new Club – it’s like starting over. Only half the group has been here so far so it’s made it a lot easier with meeting everyone and getting to know everyone individually and what not.”

The Rabbitohs threw themselves into their pre-season training schedule with gusto last week, with Oldfield relishing the challenge.

“It’s been pretty challenging,” admitted Oldfield.

“Straight off the bat we’ve been put through the tests and put a lot of kilometres in the legs, which is always good and (it) was what I expected I guess.

“It’s been pretty challenging but it’s been good meeting new faces and meeting new staff.”
