Rabbitohs prop forward, Thomas Burgess, has made a solid impact off the bench for England this morning (Monday) to help his side to a 26-12 victory over New Zealand at the KC Stadium in Hull.

Burgess bolstered the England forward pack with a barnstorming performance, following a slow start to the match for the home-side.

The hard-fought English victory atones for recent losses to the Kiwis in the 2013 World Cup semi-final and last year's Four Nations Series. However, the Series has only just begun, with two more matches set to be played, starting next Saturday at London's Olympic Stadium.

New Zealand looked well in control when they raced out to an early lead, before a rallying England side ran in tries through Ferres, Josh Hodgson and Sean O’Loughlin with Gareth Widdop kicking five goals to seal the win.
