If there’s one thing Rabbitohs and England prop-forward Thomas Burgess can’t live without, it’s music – the 120kg forward relaxes with it, uses it in his game-day preparation and even entertains his teammates with his rapping.
Now in camp with England for the series against New Zealand, Burgess shows off his rapping skills by dropping some Kanye West into the mix for the cameras as part of England TV’s England Uncovered – Karaoke Favourites.
It’s not the first time Burgess has shown off his rapping skills, with the veteran of 51 Rabbitohs games having dropped some rhymes on Rabbitohs.com.au before, while also having entertained the Club’s faithful during 2014 Grand Final celebrations.
His strong love of music goes deeper though. Asked if he could invite any three people in the world to his house for a BBQ if given the chance, the Englishman opted for three ‘musos’.
“Kanye West, Jay-Z and Beyonce because we would have a good jam,” said Burgess in his 2015 Rabbitohs Player Profile.
Burgess bagged himself a try over the weekend – his first in international colours – in his England side’s 15 try demolition of France at Leigh Sports Village, in a match that finished up in an 84-4 score-line.
