It’s player review time! We dissect the performance of the Rabbitohs individually in Rabbitohs.com.au’s 2015 Player Reviews. Today, we look at back-rower, Chris McQueen.
Once again, Chris McQueen proved to be a mainstay in the South Sydney Rabbitohs forward pack, with the former winger providing speed on the edge for the red and greens.
The athletic back-rower – who only missed one match throughout the season – was required to step up and assume greater responsibility in 2015 as a now senior member of the squad.
McQueen’s defence throughout the season was a highlight, as the Queensland representative completed 700 tackles – the second most by a South Sydney player, trailing only George Burgess.
In addition to a strong contribution in defence, McQueen also had a solid impact in attack during the season, running for 1773 metres with the ball in hand – the fourth most by a forward behind front-rowers George Burgess, Thomas Burgess and Tim Grant.
