Proud Rabbitohs Member, Rickie-Joy Glacken, has won the Souths Cares Major Draw Prize for 2015.
As the winner of the draw, Rickie-Joy takes home a Reserved Family Membership for the 2016 Season and $3000 worth of De’Longhi products after regularly showing her support for Souths Cares through the purchase of ‘doubles’, raffle tickets and a range of other fund-raising initiatives.
Souths Cares General Manager, Brock Schaefer, said that Rickie-Joy is one of many supporters who consistently purchase raffle tickets, year in and year out, never thinking they will be recipients of a prize.
“It’s not surprising that Rabbitohs supporters are big supporters of our charity, too,” said Brock.
“But what Souths Cares is acutely aware of and grateful for, is the consistency with which our supporters donate to our community programs, whether that is through buying ‘doubles’ or raffle tickets, or through their regular giving to donations program, iCare.
“I was particularly happy to see Rickie-Joy and her family take home the major prize this year, not just because of her regularity in donating, but because recently she suffered the loss of a close family member, so hopefully the news of her win brought a smile to her face.
Souths Cares acknowledged the ongoing support of Rabbitohs sponsor, De’Longhi, in making the prize possible.
“They have been a huge supporter of Souths Cares for a number of seasons and kindly donated the products that Rickie-Joy will take home,” said Brock.
Rickie-Joy’s daughter, Rebeccah, was on hand to collect the prizes on behalf of her mother from Souths Cares ambassador and former Rabbitoh, Rhys Wesser. To watch the interview, please press play on the video player.
