2015 Player Review: Kirisome Auva'a

In just five games in 2015, Rabbitohs centre Kirisome Auva’a, showed plenty of glimpses of his capabilities as he looked to re-establish himself in the Club’s back-line late in the season.

Auva’a’s return game in the red and green would come in Round 23 against eventual Grand Finalists the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville, and the desire was there for all to see.

The Rabbitoh threw himself into the match with all the enthusiasm that he showed in his break-out 2014 season, pulling off some brilliant tackles and inspiring his side with that enthusiasm throughout the clash.

Auva’a would run for a total of 91 metres from nine runs on the night, while also making 12 tackles to help his side to a 31-18 victory away from home.

The centre would go on to be selected in all of the Club’s remaining matches in 2015 where he partnered Dylan Walker in the centres for the majority of those games.

In total, the man affectionately known as ‘Sommi’, would run the ball on 53 occasions in his five matches for a total of 446 metres, while also making a total of 63 tackles out wide.
