Here we go Rabbitohs! We are in the finals and are about to play a very historic game – the first time we have taken on the Sharks in a Finals match ever! We can do this!

No George? Oh well, we have Tom, and the hunger to succeed!

So this is how I am going to look at the situation. If we want to advance to Week 2 of the Finals, it’s all about belief, and I believe we can do it. But the Sharks are the first team in our way.

They have never won a Premiership, so they’ll be hungry. Paul Gallen is their fearless leader and is not going to let up in his charge but we cannot give them the chance. The Sharks have a full strength team. They have no-one missing, and are coming off a loss – there’s plenty to play for.

We haven’t started our last few games strongly, but have been pretty solid in the second half.  So we need to fix our first 20 minutes and with that, we put ourselves in prime position.

If we can nullify the Sharks forwards and give Adam Reynolds some room to move, we will benefit greatly. Reynolds, along with his partner in crime – Luke Keary – will no doubt be key for us in terms of putting points on the board, so I am crossing everything possible that they both get the room necessary to really Light it Up.

We beat a full strength Sharks side this week and it’s the first step in the right direction.

Let’s do this Rabbitohs! We have plenty of strength and team spirit to call upon both on the field and in the stands – after all, we are the MIGHTY Rabbitohs!

The Rabbitohs will take on the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in Week 1 of the NRL Telstra Premiership Finals Series at Allianz Stadium this Sunday with kick-off slated for 4.10pm. Purchase your tickets!
