Rabbitohs prop forward, George Burgess, has been charged with a grade two contrary conduct charge by the NRL Match Review Committee, resulting from an incident in the 58th minute of Round 26s clash with the Sydney Roosters.

Successfully fighting the charge would allow Burgess to play this Sunday in Week 1 of the Finals against the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks.

An early plea will see Burgess accrue 202 points resulting in a two-match suspension, while being found guilty would also result in a two-match suspension with 270 points.
