I want to thanks Issac Luke. There is no other player in my memory with as much character, thrill, cheek and delight all rolled together. He is the ultimate number nine. His dummy half runs are unmatched by anyone in the game. He is the first player to pat his team mate on the back, and the last player to leave the field after each game, just to be there for the fans.

Robust and tough, his size has never mattered because as far as I am concerned, he has been the biggest man on-field for us for a long, long time. I will miss him and will find it extremely hard to see him play against us.

So that being said, we need to see him play more for us before he leaves, and that starts this Friday night. The Roosters are depleted, but still managed to get the job done against Manly last week. They are good, so we need to bring back the basics. We need to own the ball, make the ball stick and get it over the line.

There are plenty of positives, first of which is that we can build from here and by that time we have Issac and Inglis back, the ball will well and truly be rolling. It doesn’t matter who we play in the Finals, it’s always going to be a challenge. But if our boys are hungry enough, then we can beat anyone on any day.

Winning against the Roosters this week will take more than showing up. We will need to be strong over the park. No one can rest. The Rabbitohs crowd will need to be louder and brighter than the Roosters. So if we can be as loud as possible, then we can show the boys that we are behind them.

Go get em boys. Up the mighty Rabbitohs!
