Rabbitohs forward, Tim Grant, says that he and his Rabbitohs teammates need to perform to the standard that they know they can, following last night’s loss to the Broncos at Allianz Stadium.

The Broncos shot out to a 16-0 lead early in the match and the men in red and green – despite their better efforts – couldn’t rein the visitors back in.

Brisbane seemingly made a habit of turning defence into attack during the Round 25 clash, making the most of their first tackles options, resulting in the majority of their yardage being made in the opening tackle of their sets.

For Grant, the message was simple.

“We didn’t defend like South Sydney,” said Grant.

“When you defend outside of your structures things that you don’t usually do happen. It’s a matter of Performing the way we know we can.

“There’s a lot of belief in this Club. We’ve built a lot of belief, it’s just a matter of executing on the day and putting what we’re doing at training out on the field.

“We trained with better intentions than what we did last night.

“In saying that, we’ve got eight days now to put things into place and have a better performance come (next) Friday night.”

The Rabbitohs will now take on the Sydney Roosters in the final Round of the 2015 NRL Telstra Premiership next Friday night at Allianz Stadium.
