Rabbitohs hooker, Cameron McInnes says that consistency will need to improve as his side heads into Round 25 against the Brisbane Broncos at Allianz Stadium this week.

The Rabbitohs went down to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Friday night, one week after defeating the then ladder-leading Cowboys. For McInnes, the loss highlighted further the need for consistency.

“They showed up – we didn’t,” said McInnes.

“That’s the story of the competition this year – it’s so tight that the team that shows up and has probably the better attitude on the night is going to come away with the win.

“For us it just shows that we have to show up each week and play the way we can because there’s a lot we’re not doing – it’s just about doing those little things that we want to do.”

The Rabbitohs will now prepare to take on the Brisbane Broncos next Thursday Night at Allianz Stadium.
