Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, gave his Fujitsu Post-Match Reaction following his side’s 20-16 victory over the Penrith Panthers at ANZ Stadium in Round 21.

The Rabbitohs mentor was blunt in his assessment of his team’s win, describing the game as ‘clunky’ and ‘ugly’, but Maguire was nonetheless pleased that his side found a way to take the points.

“There were times throughout that game where it could have gone either way,” admitted Maguire.

“Penrith play a fairly expansive type of game where they offload and there’s a lot of loose type of ball so you’ve got to be very quick and react.

“I think the boys were able to do that throughout that game and we got the two points.”

The Rabbitohs will now play the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles this Friday night at Brookvale Oval in Round 22 of the competition.
